TERMS AND CONDITIONSNew Moorings enters into a contract, (whether verbal or written) to supply services to you, the customer, for the price quoted.BookingsOur room tariff is displayed in our porch and on our website and is exactly quoted in a confirmation letter/e-mail to the customer. Bookings are only accepted with the payment of a deposit, (by cash, cheque or card) with the outstanding balance (by cash or card only) to be paid during your stay. Unless a deposit has been paid in advance by cash or cheque, the whole of the first night's stay may be deducted from the customer?s card 7 days before the due arrival date. Telephone bookings usually result in taking a customer's credit/debit card details. Should a customer cancel, fail to show, or check out without making full payment, a balance payment will be deducted as 'Customer Not Present' from the customer's card at a subsequent time; the customer will be notified by post and will be sent the PDQ receipt. In the event of a deposit being made by cheque, or in the event of booking being charged to an account, any subsequent billing will be sent through the post and payment will be expected by return, or within 28 days.Single occupancy of Double/Twin rooms.This is a concessionary arrangement and carries an element of trust. In the event that additional persons are found to have occupied these rooms, we reserve the right to charge in full for double occupancy.ArrivalsWe guarantee being here to welcome new guests between 4pm and 6pm. Any other check-in time, earlier or later, is by arrangement only so that we can ensure we are here to greet you.CancellationsCancellations must be made by telephone only.If you cancel between 4 and 7 days before your due arrival we reserve the right to charge 1 night?s stay.If you cancel within 3 days before your due arrival we reserve the right to charge you for the half of the price of your stay or 1 night?s stay whichever is the greater.If you fail to arrive without informing us by telephone we reserve the right to charge for the whole stay.In the event of a customer shortening their originally booked length of stay whilst at New Moorings, we reserve the right to charge for the originally booked term. Damage to Bedrooms and TheftIn the event of damage, accidental or wilful, New Moorings reserves the right to pass-on the cost of rectifying any such damage in full, (this includes cigarette or other burns, vomit, food stains, bed wetting or pet damage). In the event of theft of guest house property, New Moorings reserves the right to pass-on the cost of replacing any stolen items with new goods. In addition to the above, New Moorings will also charge in full for any lost room nights resulting from such incidents. These charges will be taken from the customer's credit/debit card as 'Customer Not Present' and the customer will be informed by post.Smoking PolicyIf we believe you have smoked in New Moorings, you will be asked to leave immediately. Also, we reserve the right to charge you a minimum of £50 to cover the cost of any necessary cleaning and repair.Personal PropertyWhilst we do our best to ensure the building is secure at all times, we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to guests? personal items or vehicles.Car ParkingGuests are advised that there is unrestricted parking on the local streets (except for the double yellow lined areas). New Moorings has a limited number of parking permits for nearby Camperdown Terrace car park, however, despite our efforts to assist you, we cannot guarantee every customer a parking place.General BehaviourWe expect the customer to respect the presence of other guests in New Moorings by entering and leaving quietly. Any person deemed to be acting in an anti-social or threatening manner, physically or verbally, to the proprietors or other guests will be asked to leave.When booking with New Moorings, you are deemed to be accepting these terms and conditions.
